Omar Abdel-Hafez is a managing director at Suvretta Capital Management where he is the sector head for industrials and materials investments. Prior to joining Suvretta, Omar was a senior analyst at Highbridge Capital from 2014 to 2016. Prior to Highbridge, he spent two years as a Principal and the Industrials Sector Head at Tourbillon Capital Partners.
In 2008, Omar was a founding partner of Sonterra Capital. After working as an M&A investment banker at Goldman Sachs, Omar began his hedge fund career as an analyst covering energy and industrials at Ziff Brothers Investments, and also served as a principal at JCK Partners, starting their London office.
Omar graduated from Queen's University in Kingston, Canada with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors), and he remains highly involved in alumni fund-raising for his alma mater.
