Shakeeb Alam is the Co-Founder and President of East Bridge Capital Management, a Boston-based, emerging markets focused, investment firm.
Prior to forming East Bridge, he invested across both public and private markets at Highfields Capital Management and GTCR Golder Rauner. Shakeeb began his professional career as an investment banker in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Bear, Stearns & Co.
Shakeeb is actively involved in a variety of non-profit organizations and currently serves on the Leadership Council for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. He also serves on Board of Directors at the University of Illinois Foundation where he is a member of the Investment Policy Committee overseeing the University's endowment portfolio.
Shakeeb earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He lives in the Boston area with his wife and two daughters.
