Aaron Sylvan Lord is the medical director of the NYU-HHC CTSI Clinical Research Center in Brooklyn and program director of clinical research for the entire NYU Brooklyn enterprise. He has extensive expertise in conducting clinical trials and an established track record of recruiting subjects in the community, clinic and inpatient settings who are under-represented in research and who are not English speakers. He also serves as a multiple principal investigator (PI) for The New York City Collaborative Regional Coordinating Stroke Center (NYCC-RCC) of NIH/NINDS StrokeNet and is a site PI for multiple StrokeNet and other neurology trials. To highlight his team’s experience in enrolling diverse research subjects at NYU, the NYCC-RCC has the third highest rate of non-white enrollment of any StrokeNet RCC. Dr. Lord has been involved in direct clinical care and research involving stroke and neurology patients for more than 12 years.
