Aarti Jagannath, DPhil

Associate Professor in Neuroscience at Oxford University

Location: Oxford United Kingdom

Aarti Jagannath has a DPhil in physiology from Oxford. She is currently an associate professor at the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neuroscience with a strong track record in circadian biology. Dr. Jagannath was awarded the BBSRC David Phillips Fellowship in 2017, which enabled her to establish a group within the Sleep and Circadian Neuroscience Institute (SCNi). Dr. Jagannath’s group uses multiple, high-throughput approaches to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying input pathways to the circadian and sleep systems. Her research has resulted in multiple high-impact publications in journals such as CellCurrent Biology and Nature Communications, as well as the creation of a spin-out company. Dr. Jagannath also acts as a scientific editor for multiple journals in the field of sleep and circadian rhythms and is a frequent peer reviewer for multiple research outlets.
