Mr. Ali Tafreshi began his career in the field of eye care research before shifting his focus to the development of ophthalmic diagnostic instruments. After graduating from the University of California, San Diego, he began his career at the Hamilton Research Center, serving as a research scientist, primary research coordinator, clinical trials manager and co-investigator on multiple investigator-initiated NIH studies, as well as sponsor-initiated pharmaceutical and medical device clinical trials. He spent eight years at Heidelberg Engineering, an ophthalmic diagnostic imaging manufacturer, where he managed the development and implementation of intelligent image and data management solutions. As a member of the company’s global leadership team and as the global head and vice president of product management and clinical affairs, he directed a team responsible for the design, manufacture and distribution of ophthalmic diagnostic instruments.
