Dr. Rodriguez-Blazquez has been a researcher or collaborator in more than 20 national and international research projects and clinical trials, and author or co-author in more than 90 scientific publications, including books, chapters and papers in scientific journals. Her main expertise is on design, validation, and responsiveness and interpretability of rating scales and assessment of patient-reported outcomes (PROs) in the fields of aging and neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases). She has participated in the trans-cultural adaptation and validation of the Spanish official versions of the Non-Motor Symptoms Scale (NMSS) and the Movement Disorders version of the Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale (MDS-UPDRS). Currently, she is a member of the research team developing and testing the new MDS-Non Motor Symptoms Scale (MDS-NMS). She has been a member of the MDS-Task Forces on Quality of Life, Pain and Ataxia rating scales for Parkinson’s disease.
