Ildiko Szabo received a PhD in molecular and cellular biology and pathology from the University of Padova. She was an EMBO postdoctoral fellow at Eberhard Karls University of Tuebingen before returing to Padova, where she is now professor of biology. Dr. Szabo received Young Investigator Awards from the National Research Council and EMBO, and she is currently director of the PhD School in Biosciences and a scientific committee member of the Italian Association for Cancer Research. In 2017, Dr.
Szabo chaired a Gordon Research Conference on “organellar channels and transporters” and she has participated at several meetings as invited speaker and keynote lecturer.
