Roger Kurlan obtained a BA from the University of Rochester and his MD from Washington University in St. Louis. He completed residency in neurology and fellowship training in movement disorders and clinical neuropharmacology at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He has been a faculty member of the Department of Neurology at the University of Rochester since 1983 and is now Professor of Neurology and Professor in the Center for Aging and Developmental Neurobiology.
Dr. Kurlan has led or participated in a large number of clinical and translational research studies in movement disorders, particularly Parkinson’s disease and Tourette’s syndrome. He has a long record of research support from NIH and other sources and has an extensive list of publications.
