Silvia Morbelli is a full professor of nuclear medicine at the University of Turin. She holds a PhD in neuroscience and has a strong clinical and research background on the use and quantification of PET and SPECT images as biomarkers in neurodegenerative dementia and parkinsonian syndromes. She is a member and past chair of the Neuroimaging Committee of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine. She oversees the core lab of functional imaging biomarkers of the European Dementia of Lewy Body (E-DLB) consortium based in Genoa, Polyclinic San Martino. She has led studies based on the E-DLB cohort and focused on the contribution of molecular imaging biomarkers to the understanding of DLB pathophysiology.
