Dr. Benjamin Röben studied medicine at the Eberhard-Karls-University, Tübingen (EKUT) and McGill University, Montréal/Canada and holds a Doctor of Medicine from EKUT. He received training in clinical neurology with a special focus on Parkinson’s disease and atypical parkinsonian syndromes at the Department of Neurology of the Center for Neurology, Hertie-Institute for Clinical Brain Research, University of Tübingen, where he is currently working as a senior consultant with board-certification in neurology. His main research interests are the identification of clinical, fluid and imaging biomarkers of early detection of PD symptoms, disease progression and underlying pathological processes in sporadic and genetic PD as wells as in atypical parkinsonian syndromes aiming for direct translation into therapeutic applications, clinical trial design and patient care for PD patients.
