Dr. Dari Shalon is a life sciences innovator, entrepreneur, and inventor with more than 35 patent families in genomics and medical devices. While completing a PhD at Stanford as a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellow, Dr. Shalon co-invented the DNA chip technology that revolutionized gene expression research and later founded Synteni, backed by Kleiner Perkins. After its acquisition, Dr. Shalon became the Founding Director of Harvard University’s Center for Genomics Research, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration across biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, and computer science. Returning to entrepreneurship, Dr. Shalon launched multiple Silicon Valley med-tech startups. In 2017, Dr. Shalon founded Envivo Bio Inc. to advance CapScan, a novel technology for non-invasive gastrointestinal sampling that he invented. Throughout his career, Dr. Shalon has combined scientific discovery, venture investment, and leadership to translate breakthrough technologies into real-world healthcare solutions.
