Eva M. Ratai, PhD

Location: Boston, MA United States

The goals of my research are to advance the understanding of CNS diseases through the application of advanced neuroimaging techniques. I have been employed as Director of Clinical Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) at MGH since 2003 where I have been developing and implementing new MRS protocols and data processing tools to improve clinical throughput and quality assurance. In addition to my clinical responsibilities, I am active in several clinical research projects related to neoplasm, neurodegenerative diseases, and neuro-infection. I have been working with several research institutions to establish the feasibility of advanced MRS technology in a strategic alliance between MR physicists and physician scientists in a multi-center setting.  Dr. Andronesi and I have collaborated on several projects pertaining to neoplasm and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Schizophrenia.  Lastly, I am a co-investigator on two NIH projects to assess the efficacy of photo-biomodulation in subjects with Alzheimer Disease using 7T 31P MRS.
