Gopalakrishnan Ramakrishnan, PhD

Gopal completed his PhD in Biochemistry and is currently a Senior Scientist and Project Manager at Targazyme Inc. Prior to this he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and an Assistant Professor (Research Track) at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His research interests encompass elucidation of cell signaling mechanisms active in the regulation of two broad aspects of immunology and cancer and secondly in the context of metabolism. He has more than 20 years of hands-on research experience and knowledge, authored several high impact publications and served as a co-investigator on several NIH and DoD grants. In addition, he also oversees the preclinical and clinical pipeline development at Targazyme along with CMC management for the GMP-grade manufacturing of their proprietary product.
