Dr. Lisa M. Schwiebert is chief business officer and lead immunologist for InflammaNova Rx (INRx), LLC. Before co-founding INRx with Dr. John Streiff, Dr. Schwiebert served as professor of cell, developmental and integrative biology and as senior associate dean for graduate, postdoctoral and international education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham for nearly 30 years. She was recently named professor emerita of medicine. In these roles, Dr. Schwiebert maintained a strong research record in the area of airway inflammatory disease and worked with graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to enhance training and career development opportunities. In this MJFF-funded project, Dr. Schwiebert will assist Dr. Streiff with experimental design and data interpretation in the areas of immunology and animal modeling and will also oversee matters related to business administration.
