Dr. Neha Prakash is a Clinician Scientist at the Institute for Neurodegenerative Disorders (IND) and the Senior Director of Clinical Research at XingImaging (XI), an imaging research organization in New Haven, CT. She specializes in Movement Disorders Neurology and has extensive experience in clinical research related to Parkinson’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. She serves as the Principal Investigator at the IND and XI clinical site, focusing on biomarker-based studies.
Dr. Prakash began her medical education at GSVM Medical College in India. She completed her Neurology residency at St. Louis University in St. Louis, MO, where she was the academic chief resident. She further pursued a Movement Disorders fellowship at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. In 2009, she joined the Division of Movement Disorders within Neurology at the University of Connecticut Health Center (UConn) as core faculty, where she developed and directed interdisciplinary surgical clinics in Movement Disorders, concentrating on Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus and surgical treatments for Movement Disorders. In 2024, she joined the IND and XI team. Dr. Prakash is a member of several esteemed research and professional organizations, including the Parkinson Study Group, Huntington Study Group, and the Movement Disorders Society.
