Dr. Oeckl has been working with mass spectrometry (MS) for over 10 years in academia and industry. He has experience working with various types of biological samples in basic neuroscience research and different stages of drug development. He also performs sample analyses under a regulated environment according to FDA/EMA guidelines and GLP. As a research scientist at the University Hospital in Ulm, Germany, Department of Neurology, he gained a high level of expertise in MS analysis of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). This work was honored in 2017 at the 13th International Conference for Alzheimer´s and Parkinson´s Diseases in Vienna. He heads the MS and proteomics section at the Department of Neurology in Ulm and is responsible for managing all MS-related projects. He is co-author of 49 publications in renowned scientific journals.
