"The Foundation is all about collaboration, teamwork and integration across disciplines, organizations, geography and ideas —  it's a powerful way to accelerate the path to a cure."

Cynthia (Cindy) Gray retired as chief marketing officer for Wells Fargo Corporation. Her more than 30 years in banking included serving as director of marketing for Norwest Corporation prior to its merger with Wells Fargo, and as director of advertising, brand and product management for Security Pacific Bank in Los Angeles.

Cindy was diagnosed with PD in 2004. With the commitment to developing and focusing resources on high potential opportunities, Cindy is optimistic a cure for Parkinson's is not far away.

She resides near Minneapolis with her husband Jerry, who also retired from Wells Fargo. Their daughter Lauren lives in New York City and has led high-performing teams in the Parkinson's Unity Walk in New York for the past five years.

The MJFF Patient Council was established in March 2009 as a formal channel for the Foundation to solicit input from PD patients and the broader Parkinson's community. The Council advises the Foundation on programmatic fronts including (but not limited to) strategies to best convey patient priorities to the research community and its funders; content and emphasis for patient education and outreach relevant to MJFF's mission to find a cure; patient roles in developing novel ways to conduct research; and mechanisms for impact assessment.
