Cynthia A. Kelm-Nelson, PhD

Senior Scientist at University of Wisconsin, Madison
Director of Biological Sciences Research
Location: Madison, WI United States

Dr. Cynthia Kelm-Nelson’s long-term research goal is to understand the mechanisms that modulate complicated behaviors, including vocal deficits, in both health and Parkinson disease. Her work utilizes a true systems biology approach, encompassing behavioral, genomic and proteomic analyses to model brain- behavior relationships. The results of this research will ultimately lead to an increased understanding of the onset of behavioral phenotypes, sex differences and neuropathology in Parkinson disease, as well as identify new targeted drug treatment options.
