Dr. Lee Dibble is a professor and chair in the department of physical therapy and athletic training at the University of Utah. He is a PhD-trained movement scientist and physical therapist with extensive experience in movement control and rehabilitation in individuals with balance disorders, including Parkinson’s disease (PD). He has vast experience with cross-sectional studies, intervention trials, longitudinal cohort studies and randomized controlled clinical trials, and he has extensive funding history and a proven track record of research dissemination, including more than 100 peer-reviewed journal publications. Dr. Dibble’s research was among the first to deploy wearable technologies to study movement patterns in people with mobility deficits, including PD. Much of his work has added to our understanding of PD, including studies describing the natural history of PD progression, research exploring postural control and fall risk in people with PD and studies investigating the impacts of exercise on PD.
