Masoud Vedadi is an associate professor of pharmacology and toxicology at the University of Toronto and a principal investigator at the Structural Genomics Consortium (SGC) in Toronto. He received his PhD from McGill University in 1997 and conducted postdoctoral training at Concordia University, Canada, where he focused on structural and functional studies of enzymes. Dr. Vedadi then joined Affinium Pharmaceuticals as associate director of protein science (1999-2003). He has more than 20 years of biotech and academic experience in early-stage drug discovery, and has led groups in protein biochemical and biophysical characterization, protein crystallization and enzymology. In collaboration with pharmaceutical companies and academic labs, he and his teams have significantly contributed to the discovery of more than 20 potent and selective small molecule inhibitors for various drug targets. With an h-index of 57, and i10-index of 127, his 147 publications have been cited 13549 times to date.
