Dr. Holden is currently completing joint Movement Disorders and Behavioral Neurology fellowships at the University of Colorado. She plans to use this combination training to perform clinical and research work in the area of Parkinson’s disease cognition, as there is a great need for accurate evaluation and effective treatment for this sizeable and vulnerable patient population. She aims to employ a patient-centered approach, working to develop treatments for cognitive impairment that provide both clinically and personally meaningful improvements for patients in their day-to-day lives. 

Dr. Holden graduated with a B.S. in Neural Science from New York University and received her M.D. from Stony Brook University School of Medicine. She completed her neurology residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, where she worked with Dr. Jennifer Goldman on research projects on mild cognitive impairment in Parkinson’s disease, defining the optimal neuropsychological testing and diagnostic criteria for the condition.
